Barbara Schneider

Barbara is currently of counsel to MP&M, having previously been a Director of the firm. Her practice is centered on civil litigation, mediation, and arbitration, with an emphasis on commercial, construction, and business disputes. Barbara also works with the firm's intellectual property clients on issues related to copyright, licensing, trademark, and joint ventures. Her cases have involved all types of businesses, from shipyards to machine tool manufacturers to blueberry growers. Barbara's litigation experience has included cases involving employment law, franchise law, antitrust law, business torts, and contract law.
Barbara is also a member of the adjunct faculty at the University of Maine School of Law.
Before attending law school, Barbara worked in non-profit association administration and ran a small company that presented continuing education programs for nurses. Barbara is on the Board of Directors of the Cleaves Law Library, the President of the Cedars Nursing Home Auxiliary, and is an officer of the Harvard Law School Association of Maine. She is a member of the Maine State and the Cumberland County Bar Associations and Maine Families of Children from Asia. Barbara lives with her family in Durham, Maine.
