Murray Plumb & Murray welcomes Elizabeth Hunt
As we continue to grow to meet the legal needs of our community, we’re pleased to announce that Elizabeth Hunt has joined our firm.
In her new role as partner, Liz will focus on all areas of trust and estate planning and administration, including tax and business succession planning, asset protection planning, charitable planning, and related fiduciary litigation. In addition, Liz will help clients in the areas of Business and Corporate Law and Real Estate, Finance, and Family-held Real Estate Succession Planning.
Hunt, who most recently worked at McLane Middleton in New Hampshire, joined Murray Plumb & Murray because of its solid reputation, people, and the opportunity for growth. A native of Maine, Liz is excited to once again be working in and impacting the state where her “roots and heart” resided all along.
“Our firm is deeply committed to helping Maine businesses and families succeed,” said Peter Murray, a Murray Plumb & Murray founding partner. “We look forward to complementing our efforts with Liz’s vast experience to help clients visualize, articulate, and achieve their goals – especially as we continue to grow our trust and estate planning practice.”
Liz’s legal experience includes working at a variety of law firms during her 30-year tenure, including Pierce Atwood and Preti Flaherty in Maine. She looks forward to helping Murray Plumb & Murray’s clients personalize the estate plan that’s right for them, during and after their lifetime.
Liz is an open, honest, compassionate, and responsive communicator and listener with a disciplined legal mindset, which she honed early on in her career. She’s proactive in her work, a stickler for details, and a precise writer, all of which matter in law. Liz earned her undergraduate degree at Middlebury College and her law degree at the University of Maine School of law. She is admitted to practice law in Maine and New Hampshire.
Outside of the court of law, Liz also has a love for the tennis court, sailing, snowshoeing, golfing, traveling, cooking, and gardening. She also enjoys curling up with a good book.
